• Over ten years of endless nights sorting through garbage drum sounds; and then mixing, EQ'ing, and crafting only the best sounds before painstakingly organizing them by Type, Sound, and Genre was an undertaking of hours most people will never even begin to understand.

• I get it. If you are a music producer you only NEED the sounds you NEED.You don't want 100s or 1000's of extra bad quality sounds in the folder ruining your inspiration while trying to find the perfect "snare or clap". Neither do we.

• Most sample packs either only have a few decent "kits" OR have 1000s of sounds that are all terrible and unusable with only a few great ones in between to justify offering the sample pack at all. BLVCKWAVE SOUND has the perfect balance of sounds where you have EVERYTHING YOU NEED and NOTHING you don't! Considering BLVCKWAVE SOUND is a true "DRUM LIBRARY" and not a "sample pack" the main reason our libraries have so many sounds is because GENRES MATTER!

• Different genres of music have drastically different sounds and BLVCKWAVE SOUND covers ALL GENRES of music within a SINGLE DRUM LIBRARY. When you are producing a ROCK track you want alot of ROCK SNARE DRUM options when you are doing drum replacement. When you are doing EDM you want multiple options for each sub-genre without the samples being redundant. When you are doing TRAP beats you want TRAP KICK options.

• When looking at BLVCKWAVE SOUND LIBRARIES for what they actually are (SOUND ENCYCLOPEDIAS) it's easy to see why we have over 12,000 samples in our BLVCKWAVE COMPLETE library. It may seem like a lot of drum sounds.; But if you contrast our sample count and outlook with many larger music companies (which we won't name here: Shmative Shminstruments & Cringe-geanace LMAO) you will find that :

1. There are much larger "all in one" libraries available; but they are littered with bad sounds and most of the them are completely useless.
2. The smaller sized sample packs; often marketed as genre-specific "kits & loop packs" are usually thrown together randomly, into horribly mislabelled folders, inside of other folders, inside of even more folders, with little to no effort or thought, making the mediocre useless samples impossible to sort or go through in any efficient manner.

If we offered our samples as smaller kits and packs it would defeat the entire purpose of having an ALL IN ONE library for a certain sound type.

Most other companies that do offer the smaller sized "kits" and "packs" will mindlessly throw some random samples into a bunch of folders inside of other folders and give them cool names like "Spacey Snare Moon Explosion Juice Drip Verb.WAV" and then pair it with even cooler enticing Moon Space artwork and then call the Pack "ETHEREAL MOON CLOUD SNARES" or some cat shit like that and then tell you its the best "spaciest" "wettest" "juiciest" fire sounds ever.

We are here to tell you that there are only a handful of main types of sounds and if you know what that "alphabet" of snare sounds, sound like; it's easy to see that you just got sold some regular bullshit stock TR-808 snare. Some asshole just tossed an unmixed wayyy too long reverb on it and bounced it out; who now has your money, and you have some shitty long reverbed snares that never fit in any mixes for any beats you make even though it they kinda sounded cool in the ad.

In ALL cases that I have seen smaller sample "packs" and "kits" with multiple volumes (VOL.1, VOL.II, VOL.III) that I have purchased myself over the years, 99% of the time I find MAYBE one or two keepable sounds in the entire kit.

The main takeaway being that the ARTWORK and MARKETING on smaller sized more affordable kits always seems better than the sounds themselves.
